Another day of infamy

In "Admit the country's at war" on Monday, Charles Krauthammer - while pretending to be the honest
patriot he is not - criticizes the Obama administration's response to the Christmas Day attack.

If we need to remind ourselves of "a date that will live in infamy," as Krauthammer quotes Franklin Delano
Roosevelt on Pearl Harbor, let's never forget March 2003, when the Bush administration bombed Iraq for
fabricated lies.

Want to speak about infamy? I suggest Krauthammer visit each grave of our brave soldiers, and go to Iraq
to visit the families of all the innocent children killed in this shameful war.

To the Editor:

Re “Obama to Press Centrist Agenda in His Address” (front page, Jan. 23):

Where does Jim Kessler, the co-founder of the centrist organization Third Way, get the idea that President
Obama is “moving from the left to the center”? The last time I remember President Obama supporting a leftist
agenda was during the presidential campaign. The continuing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the unkept
promise to close Guantánamo speak for themselves.
