I am gay, I have moral values, and I am an American Citizen.

78 per cent of the Bush supporters said that “moral values” were important to them, most of all
those who voted for the man said he is a person who shares their values.  Almost half of America
- assuming that the elections were not stolen- is telling me that I have no moral values because I
support women right to choose, equality for all and because I am gay. In Ohio, a Bush supporter
had a sign that read “Finally, a Christian fighting evil. Thank you, George Bush”.  With all
respect, Mr. Supporter, I am taking your sign very personally unless you are a recovering
alcoholic fighting the evil bottle, which gives you a common denominator with your man.
I have moral values.  I oppose the war on Iraq, the killing of innocent people, the death of our
own who were sent there, thinking they were defending America while giving freedom and
happiness to the Iraqis.  I oppose giving life to children who are not wanted, I oppose racism,
poverty, the death penalty and hatred.
I am American, I work and pay taxes but my rights are limited because I was born different. My
difference is viewed as a sin or a disease for many who said they have “moral values”, therefore
it is said that I should be treated differently.
Be happy, Mr. Supporter, Karl Rove made a statement today regarding my future and the one
of my brothers and sisters.  He said that the man you elected will propose and support a ban on
gay marriage nation wide.  Half of America is going to be happy, gays won’t be a threat to their
lives. Isn’t great? I suppose this is part of his war on terror.
But I have one thing in common with you mister. I am a citizen and I use one of my other given
rights, I vote and I protest.
See you around.

Letter: Liberty for all

I applaud and celebrate the decision of the Supreme Court striking down the Texas sodomy laws (“Sodomy
laws felled by court,” June 27). This is a great victory for the gay community.

Obviously the dissenters, Chief Justice William Rehnquist and Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin
Scalia, as well as the social conservatives and religious groups blinded by homophobia, misinterpret the
homosexuals’ agenda, which is nothing more than demanding equality, justice and liberty for all.

More Censoring?

by Monique Frugier

The White House is censoring the news from France! At the bottom of the
screen, on the public television WHYY, from where I can watch news from
abroad, was a message saying that at the request of the White House,
audiovisual from Afghanistan was being censored!....

Mind you, this was a reportage done by the french television.

The French radio this morning said they regret such decision, that all citizens
should be able to know and hear what is being broadcasted. Already we know
that we are not being told everything, but when censoring is written on the
screen it touches a nerve! There is no reason what so ever, and I AM MAD!
