A Time To Break The Silence:
End Poverty, Stop the War, Coming
Together for Justice & peace
On April 2, 2006, 86 activists for Justice and Peace gathered at the Old First Reformed
Church (4th $ Race) in Philadelphia in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
who, one year before his assassination, called for a joining of the domestic justice
and peace movements in a speech entitled "A Time to Break Silence"

The event was sponsored by: Brandywine Peace Community & Kensington Welfare
Rights Union and endorsed by: Bubbes and Zaydes (grandparents) for Peace in the
Middle East, Philadelphia Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Catholic Peace Fellowship,
Project HOME, PRAWN, Shalom Center, Simple Way.

Later, we marched from the Church to City Hall, when we hold a rally.
